The Playground has a variety - from tyre swings to those with harnesses and bucket seats. However there will always be those for whom these swings are not appropriate, and for them we have a wheelchair-accessible swing. You can be helped into the swing safely and gently pushed to and fro whilst still in the security of a wheelchair or buggy.
For those who are able, a pull on the rope at the front of the swing means you can swing yourself - a good example of the way that the Playground and its equipment can empower people. You should not be denied a go on the swings just because you use a wheelchair.
