Welcome

Coronavirus and TVAP advice

You should not be unduly worried about continuing to use TVAP or the possibility of your children catching the Coronavirus.

But just to be on the safe side! – and bearing in mind that our users may have compromised immune systems we would ask, in line with DfE advice, that you take note of the following:

If you, your family or any persons that you have contact with travel to restricted or infected areas, maybe for a half term break or on business, that you do not visit TVAP for 2 weeks from the date of your / their return.

If you feel unwell please do not come to TVAP – Medical advice is to stay at home and call 111

These simple precautions together with your normal hygiene routines will help everyone to continue to enjoy TVAP safely without any worries.

As children, most of us would take for granted the chance to get out and about, exploring, climbing trees, visiting the park and hanging out with friends, but for many children and adults with a special need, it just isn't possible.  If you have a physical disability, the difficulties are more obvious, but, if you have a learning disability, sensory problems or autism, you may find it hard to relate to other people and to join in their games.
A Registered Charity (No. 278336), since 1982 the Thames Valley Adventure Playground has provided a chance for children & adults with all types of special need to enjoy the fun, freedom and friendship afforded by the opportunity to play and share experiences in a safe and stimulating environment, with users travelling from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, London and beyond.
Wheelchair-accessible roundabouts and swings, elevated walkways allowing someone with profound and multiple difficulties to enjoy the excitement of 'climbing' trees, multi-sensory rooms to stimulate and relax, with specially-trained staff to provide help and support - these are just a few of the things on offer.

For those with, and without, a person with special needs in their life, the TVAP COMMUNITY is a space on Facebook for all those who have been to the Playground to share tips, events and experiences - the good, the bad and the helpful!  It aims to include, respect and support all who wish to be a part of it.
